| CLEMENT F. KUSIAK FIRST VICE PRESIDENT Clement F. Kusiak, of Linthicum, Maryland, USA, was elected to serve as first vice president of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 86 th International Convention, held in Denver, Colorado, USA, June 30 - July 4, 2003. Vice President Kusiak is an engineer by profession and a manager for a corporation in Baltimore, Maryland. A member of the Baltimore Brooklyn Lions Club since 1966, Vice President Kusiak has held many offices within the association, including club president, cabinet treasurer, council treasurer and district governor. He served as international director on the association’s board of directors from 1988 to 1990. Vice President Kusiak was a member of the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum Planning committee. He was also program chairman for the Lions Eye Health Program (LEHP) and advisor for the national rollout. He was chairman of the District Governors-elect School in 2001-02. In recognition of his service to the association, Vice President Kusiak has received numerous awards, including the 100% Club President Award, the 100% District Governor’s Award, an extension award, four International President’s Leadership Awards, seven International President’s Awards and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor bestowed upon association members. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow. In addition to his Lion activities, Vice President Kusiak is active in numerous professional and community organizations. He has served on numerous committees, such as the Atlantic Region’s North American Membership Program, the Development Task Force and the Heritage Committee of Baltimore, Maryland. Vice President Kusiak and his wife, Jeanne, also a progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, have two sons (one deceased), a grandson and a granddaughter. | ||||||
